Is Your Jesus a Failure?

I. The "Jesus" which much of the world knows is a complete failure.

II. He came to this earth with a mission to do the following things and he failed miserably:

1. He came with a mission to save the human race from their sins and most of them ended up going to hell anyway.

2. He came with a mission to set up a kingdom on earth, but his kingdom plans had to be postponed for thousands of years because the Jews rejected him.

3. He came to build a church that would endure throughout all time, but it was destroyed within about 300 years and men had to try to reform it 1200 years later.

4. He was determined to preserve his inspired word, but the original autographs were destroyed long ago and lost forever.

III. The real Jesus victoriously accomplished the mission the Father gave Him.

1. His mission was to "save His people from their sins" and He actually did it.

A. Mat 1:21 - And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

B. Joh 6:39 - And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

C. Joh 10:27-28 - My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28) And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

D. Joh 17:2,4 - As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3) I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

2. His mission was to set up a kingdom which would never be destroyed and He actually did it.

A. Dan 2:44 - And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

B. Luk 22:29-30 - And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; 30) That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

C. Heb 12:28 - Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

3. His mission was to build His church which would endure forever and He actually did it.

A. Mat 16:18 - And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

B. Eph 3:21 - Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

4. His mission was to preserve His inspired word forever and He actually did it.

A. Mat 24:35 - Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

B. Mat 5:18 - For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

C. Psa 12:6-7 - The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
